Is the official state flower of California. The leaves are pretty, but I will not grow it again because until five months latter they are finally flowering. When is cloudy the flowers do not open, and at night they close. It’s better to sow these seeds in the regular soil and not indoors for transplants latter on.
They have finicky foliage, but I had not the best place for them to be. By the end of the year I’ll dismantle one of the 4 by 4 feet square gardens and will construct from it two 4 by 2 feet long beds. Those long movable rows together will be the wild flower garden!
