I know what you are going to say. I think the names these plants get are just nuts!. Why not better name it “excellence lighting” or something like that? Well they have to be known as something, so Queen Sophia it is.
Last year I grew two or three of these, and I have to admit they did great in full sun, even in the dog days of summer. I transplanted them in the regular clay soil and they survived. Not that they were happy there, but they are tough plants.
Last fall I scattered some seeds in a big pot where the dwarf bottle-brush lives. Back in mid January I noticed only one growing and is already flowering.They have big bold orange-yellow flowers.
